Journal #14

Follow the rubric you have been given using the words from lesson 14 for bonus - in order to show the words highlighted as you type, you will need to use HTML. For italicizing you will place the following in front of the word you wish to italicize. Use the <> After the word you will type <> (Sorry that had to be so wordy, but as soon as I typed the actual, it turned it to italics and did not show you the HTML.)

The kind of person that is always late would be me. It's not like I always plan it or anything, it just happens. This time of year I am extremely busy with work, school, and my social life. As the year winds down I also become more careless with homework and being on time to places. It's not that I'm lazy, I just have a horrible case of Senioritis. My friend, Lauren Olberding is also suffering from this horrific disease. Lauren is always busy with something or involved in a ton of activities so it's understandable to not be able to be on time to events.
Now, a person that is always on time would more prominent or somebody who has nothing better to do so they come early. When I'm nervous about something I want to be on time or slightly early and usually am alert. Something that is important to people will be on time and not willing to miss out on anything that is going on.

A person who is always late is some one like me. They are disorganzied and don't know how to plan accordingly. These people always spend too much time preparing last minute. The person who is always on time is some one who is a perfectionist. They feel that if they arrive even a minute late that the world is going to end. They plan out every second and every action/reaction before arriving at their destination. The person who is always early is the person prepared for everything. They plan before and they plan for everything that could happen. What if they left and they got stuck in heavy traffic? They are always prepared for life's little suprises that may come along the way.

The kind of people that is always late are my good friends Jordan and Lauren. These two don't decide to do their homework until late at night. They think they need to be in everything, but I think it is time to just quit.
The type of person who is on time is me. Getting to bed on time is key to these people. I set my alarm for thirty minutes before we leave. That gives me enough time to grab something to eat, change my clothes, brush my teeth, and to get out the door.
The type of people who are early are people like the Schrader boys. These guys get up really early. They don't want to be late. They listen to Mr. Larsen's quote, "If your early you're on time."

You can certainly tell a lot about someone based on how punctual of a person they are. It is interesting how consistent this characteristic is among people. People who arrive late are almost always late. The same can be said for people who typically arrive early and for people who normally arrive on time. The following characteristics are true of people who fall into each of these categories.
For the sake of appropriateness, I will examine the early arrivals first. These are the types of people who have the innate ability for arriving at a designated place before the designated time and, for that matter, ahead of everyone else. These types of people have a natural fear of others having to wait on them. They are also very mentally organized. With little chaos occurring inside their heads, they can focus on being at certain places ahead of schedule. They see no point in waiting around but, would rather, get to where they are going and then wait around for everyone else.
Then there are the people who always insist on arriving exactly on time. These people are also perfectionists. By choosing to arrive precisely when told to arrive, they manifest a physical version of their inner thoughts of perfection and exactness. To be too early or too late would bother them too much. That is why they are prepared ahead of time, but decide to arrive when expected as not to look too nerdy or too sloppy by arriving early or late.
The last type of people, with regard to time of arrival, are the procrastinators. They delay every aspect of their preparation until it is simply too “late” for them to arrive on time. Being the scatter brains that they are, their heads are full of visionary ideas. With so much on their minds, it is hard to concentrate on being somewhere at a certain time.
And so, I have explained the three types of arrivers. Now that you know the characteristics and tendencies of each, which one are you?

There are people who are always late, on time and early. The people who are always late are the irresponsible and unorganized ones. This means that they usually never have anything ready to go when it's time to leave. Which makes them late most of the time. The people who are on time are the mildly responsible ones. They are the ones that usually have their things ready so that they can get to the place on time. The ones that are early are the ones who are very responsible and very well organized. They like to have things set in stone so that everything will go as planned. This is how I determine people who are late. Also, how I determine people who are on time and people who get where they need to be early.

The type of person that is always late to me would be a person much unorganized. If a person is unorganized their always going to be late because they don’t have anything ready to leave with like the car is empty or can’t find the car keys. I know a person that is always late to school functions and it drives me insane.
A person that is always on time has details mapped out ahead of time so they know exactly where they are going and what they all need. They probably can’t stand to be late so it’s just in their nature to be on time or it will drive them insane and they will feel bad for being late. Being on time all the time is a good thing because it shows the person is organized and responsible.
The type of person that is always early who have to be someone who is very responsible and organized. A person that is always early is just taking precautions of leaving early just incase they run into an accident or they have car trouble they don’t have to worry about being terrible late they could still be on time from leaving early. When a person shows up early it shows that they want to be their and people can count on them. I am a person who has to show up early because I cannot stand being late

In most cases when somebody is late they are busy with something that they deem to be more important. Some people are always late because they lazy and are not concerned with wasting somebody’s time. The people that are always late tend to be unorganized. Lazy people that arrive late figure better late then never.
People that are always on time have their priorities straight and care about what they are doing. If somebody cares about what they are doing then in most cases they should be on time. People that arrive somewhere on time are normally fairly organized in general.
I think that people that arrive somewhere ahead of time either have nothing better to do or fear being late for something. People that need to go somewhere and nothing to do tend to arrive early because it keeps them from sitting around with nothing to do. In some cases people that arrive early just can’t bare the thought of being late for something.

There are three different types of people. The three types are those who are always late, those who arrive just on the knick of time, and those who are the early birds.
Nothing drives me crazier than people who are running late. Those people are the ones who are worried about their hair, changing their outfit several times, and just don’t really take other peoples feelings into consideration. In other words you could probably just call these people vane.
If I’m with someone who is arriving somewhere just on the knick of time, I get a little nervous. These people enjoy the adrenaline rush that comes from hurrying to get somewhere. Adventure is important to this type of person.
My favorite people and I would consider myself this type of person, is one who is early to almost everything. These people are planners. They create a schedule to know what time they must start getting ready and what time they need to leave to arrive to their destination at least ten minutes early. We take other peoples’ feelings into consideration and don’t want to offend anyone by arriving late.
When I’m riding with someone else to go somewhere I do my best to make sure that they at least arrive on time if not early. I might get just a tad bit anxious if we arrive even five minutes late.

There are people who get to places on time and then there are those who are always late. Sometimes a person who is always late will try to gainsay that they were not late. But it is always imminent that you will be late sometime in your life either to an important meeting, a football game, or a diner with a date. You will eventual be late for something in your life due to some problem that prevents you from being on time.
I believe that a person who is always late is really unorganized. Time is minutiae to a person who really doesn’t care whether they are on time or if they are late. Being unorganized could cause you a lot of problems and not being informed could cause you to be late to certain things in your life.
I believe that a person who is almost always on time is a very responsible and takes great pride in being on time. They believe if you’re not five minutes early then your late. A person who arrives on time knows how to manage there time so that they get to where their going on time.

In psychology, there are two types of people in the world: Type A and Type B. Type A people are very ambitious and competitive. They are also usually perfectionists. Most are driven and have febrile temperaments. Some are concerned with minutiae details. These would be the people that are always on time or early.
Type B people are very easygoing, patient, and lack any sense of urgency. Many Type B people are creative and visionary. They are almost always calm in any situation. These would be the people that are always late. Due to conflicting attitudes, these two types may gainsay each other at times.

If I were to describe the people who are late and never on time I would say that they are the people who think that they have so much stuff to do. They are always late because they don’t manage their time wisely and instead of getting their stuff together the night or day before they think that they can get it all done the day of. I would say that those people are also selfish because other people might be counting on them to be at the site on time and ready to go and when they are late it makes the other people of that group look bad, and sometimes they might be to late and whatever they wanted to do in the first place is no longer an option. This type of person could also be someone who is extremely un organized and has a hard time getting things done due to their shambled lifestyle.
The people who are always on time would be the type of person who is organized and has good use of time management. This person is considerate of others and makes a good impression on whoever they meet.

If anyone were to know the characteristics of a person who is always late, it would be me. It is not that I am loath to the idea of being on time for an event. The reason is that I plan every minute of my time with something to do until I no longer have time left. One of my major problems is I never allow enough time to arrive at my destination. When I am running late, I feel a bit febrile and it is a feeling in which I hate. It is a horrible habit that I have and am attempting to break.

For many people, they make it a priority to always be on time or ahead of time. I imagine they are very organized people who have schedules which they follow very closely. They must be very collected people who like to always have their business in order, even including all minutiae.

I respect these people very much and hope to be more like them. I find it selfish to always be running behind because of the people who are relying on you to show up on time. Although for others, being on time can be bad luck. Therefore, for certain events such as speech, it is better if they do run a few minutes late, just as long as they do not miss the bus.
