Steinbeck's use of imagery is appealing, like in Of Mice and Men when he has George explain the rabbitt farm to Lenny - we can almost see it too.

I like John Steinbecks style of writing because it's simple. He uses everyday common people and is very specific when it comes to the setting, I feel as if I'm really there! Steinbeck expresses some of hardships and troubles in his story that the common man would have to deal with such as Lenny and George trying to make money to get a home of their own.

I think John Steinbeck is a tad crazy. I dont like to see people die and hes kinda crazy when he kills Lennie in Of Mice and Men. He is very creative with his writing but he still scares me. I did like the way he described Lennies bunny farm. That would be pretty awesome place to live.

John Steinbeck is an interesting writer. I enjoyed his style of writing because it was believable. His characters spoke the way they would actually talk and said things that seemed real. In "Of Mice and Men" the language wasn't censored which I liked because I believe in that story they would really talk like that. His stories are also very easy and simple to read.

I felt a lot of ironics in his stories. The leader of people showed me how it is complicated to keep telling stories to the future. People usually read the same book just once, or a few times in their life. These might be stopped telling, but people reallly does not forget them if they impress people.

John Steinbeck's style of writing is very graphic and natural. His style of writing tells us a story of someone that we know in real life. For example in "The leader of the People" he has the grandfather telling his family of his past experiences, even though he has already told them before. This reminds me of my grandfather, and great uncle, and it gives me something to tell my grandkids about their great great grandpa that they wouldn't have known before.

His style of writing is very boring, sorry but i don't like him very much. His writing just does not grab the readers attention and then no one pays attention because it get's so boring. He doesn't use very colorful words, his words seem really boring. He should practice on his writing skills because is seems like a third grader is writing it.

I found "Of Mice and Men" to be a fascinating account of the story of two wanderers during of the Great Depression. It was, in my opinion, entertaining as well as easy to read. It was also very intruiging to experience reading a banned book. This book was my favorite of all the books I have read in this class.

Oh my goodness this story was so horrible that I didn't even pay attention to it. I have no idea what even went on during this story. All I know is that they wanted to kill the mice. I think that we need to throw this story out next year and maybe just throw this whole book away.

His style of writing is very unique compaired to other writers. In his stories he desribes things with great detail so that we could almost see it even though we are not there. The stories that he wrote were very interesting to read because you actually felt that you were there experiencing whats going on in the story.

John Steinbeck's style of writing in Of Mice and Men was somewhat interesting. He used a lot of details when George reminds Lenny of the farm. Although in the story Leader of the People, I was bored with his repetition of the situation with the dead mice. I find he uses a lot of repetition and it gets monontonous.

I don't like his style of writing very much, the way he writes makes me want to fall asleep. He seems like he is good at describing things but the way in which he does so bores me. Steinbeck's writing style is not very expressive so it makes me sleepy.

I'm not sure what I think of John Steinbeck's writing. I like his "Of Mice and Men" but I didn't really care for "Leader of the People". I think in order to get a better understanding of John Steinbeck's writing I would have to read more of his stories. I would like to read his volume that has a lot of short stories.
